The Project
The building is located on the farm of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh) and it houses offices and laboratories of plant production of the Agricultural School of AUTh. It has three floors with a basement, has a total area of 11,600 sqm and houses classrooms, amphitheaters, offices and laboratories.
The Study
The study concerns all the interventions for its harmonization with the standards of low energy consumption Α+. For this purpose, interventions in the shell were proposed, namely, thermal facade, insulation of ceilings and floors and replacement of frames. The electromechanical studies were re-done for the whole building as a whole and very low consumption technologies were applied such as high geothermal open circuit geothermal pumps C.O.P., central air conditioning units with high efficiency alternators and low SFP, lighting with LED dimmable luminaires controlled by brightness and presence sensors, central building management system BMS and photovoltaic park on the power roof 95kWp.
